HJ Ceramics in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, is only the second sanitaryware plant to be established in the UK in the past ten years, which in itself makes it of interest both to industry and commerce generally and specifically to the ceramics industry. HJ Ceramics has been established as the manufacturing arm of Heritage Bathrooms, a company now launched on the open market. Although Heritage is aiming at the top end of the market, HJ Ceramics, as its manufacturing arm, is having to compete with the established volume manufacturers. It has managed to do this with the considerable help of CGE, a company with great expertise in the field of combustionand process plant and in particular the design of kilns and dryers.
