Lukoil adopts new global training standard

A Russian oil giant has adopted the new global training standard for the oil and gas industry. Lukoil is currently implementing oil and gas exploration and production projects across 12 countries. It has adopted IMIST (international minimum industry-safety training) Online for its exploration and production workers in Iraq. Developed by global oil and gas training-standards body Opito International, and delivered in partnership with training-company Atlas through approved invigilation centers, IMIST brings for the first time a standard level of basic safety training to an estimated 1.5 million oil and gas workers worldwide.
