Award means a lot; but it's not all about a person or his works; in fact, it is more of recognition of a cause, decrying conditions and the tools that serve. Any economic activity particularly pertaining to make a livelihood from the land offers a vast scope for the intution, initiatives and instinct to carry out activities, for bettering the lives of the people. It is equally true in case of sericulture, where research can take wings and fly high to reach out to the aspirations of the people for a comfortable living and of course conferring our best to the queen of textiles, the silk. Well, such spirited efforts get awarded, and Louis Pasteur Award is one such, in recognition of the life-time achievements.
