Influence of cocoon racial characteristics on reeling performance and yarn characteristics

Cocoon reeling performance is characterized by a host of factors that depend largely on racial characters of silkworms besides rearing technology and cocoon spinning conditions. Presented here is an overview on these factors that contribute to the quality of cocoon and silk fabric.
