Whither natural silk? The question which once rose during the late thirties at the advent of nylon and man-mades is once again confronting the world silk industry. Hardly has silk edged over man-mades, and spurred its universal demand, it is facing a new and more threatening menace - prohibitive prices- which if unbeaten will make this noble fibre wither away from the world textile market.
