Shri Piyush Goyal Flags Off Mau-Anand Vihar Terminus Biweekly Special train through Video Conferencing

The Minister of Railways, Commerce & Industry and Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Shri Piyush Goyal flagged off Mau-Anand Vihar Biweekly Special train through video conferencing on 11th February, 2021 along withother dignitariespresent at the event. Speaking on the occasion, Hon'bleMinister Shri Piyush Goyal said, "This new train connecting Mau with Anand Vihar will fulfill the long pending demand of the people of the Purvanchal. The new train will boost economy of this region. In the present Government under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the budget allocation for Rail projects in Uttar Pradesh has been increased to ten times as compared to 2009-14. This shows the commitment of the Government for development of infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh."12-12Chief Minister of Karnataka and Minister of Railways, Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food and Public Distribution Lay the Foundation Stone for Construction of Road Over Bridges in Shivamogga section of South Western RailwayBuilding infrastructure for a future-ready railway system, Shri B.S.Yediyurappa, Chief Minister Government of Karnataka, and Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways, Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food and Public Distribution, Government of India laid the foundation stone for construction of Road Over Bridges (ROBs) in lieu of three level crossing gates (LC-34,49,52)-two in Shivamogga and one in Bhadravati under Mysuru Division in South Western Railway. Shri Goyal laid the foundation stone through video conferencing while the other dignitaries were present at the event site in Shivamogga.The elimination of these level crossings will significantly enhance operational safety resulting in greater efficiency and higher productivity. The Railways have already announced the National Rail Plan to create a future-ready railway systemby the year 2030. Bringing down the logistic cost for the industry is at the core of the strategy to enable 'Make In India.'
