In the bid to crack down against illegal occupants of coaches/seats reserved for differently abled persons and women passengers, Railway Protection Force has launched all India special drive against unauthorized passengers. Railway Protection Force has been instructed to ensure safer and secured journey for women. Indian Railways has come up with an energy efficient and environment friendly innovative solution to address the issues of air and noise pollution by running trains with HOG system. This cutting edge technology is basically to replace diesel generators to save upto one million litres of diesel per train per annum thereby ensuring significant reduction of greenhouse gases.
