Diesel Loco Shed in Vatwa Gets a Rainwater Harvesting System

To collect rain water during the monsoon, the Diesel Loco Shed at Vatwa of Western Railway's Ahmedabad Division, has installed a rainwater harvesting system in its premises. Such measures have been taken to promote a greener environment and to collect the rainwater that gets wasted every year. Taking this vision forward, a rainwater harvesting system has been installed at the roof of the Administrative Block and Heavy Repair Area which has an approximate area of 3665 sq m. to collect rainwater. The plant is expected to save and collect 20 lakh liters of water this year alone.
