Occurrence of ascidian species, Polyclinum saturnium (Savigny, 1816) from intertidal regions along south-west and south-east coasts of India

Colonies of ascidian, Polyclinum saturnium were reported from Karnataka (south west coast) and Tamil Nadu (south east coast). Morphological structures of adults and larvae were described in the present study. This species was not found to be as, alien fauna in India and did not come under the list of IUCN Red List as threatened species. Associate groups, namely arthropods and annelids from Tamil Nadu and bryozoan from Karnataka were reported. Annelid species were reported more in number compared to others.
