摘要

Literature on the current status of the supramolecular structure of native cotton fibre is briefly reviewed and discussed in the light of experimental data on physical properties and X-ray orientation parameters of the four cotton cultivars grown at different locations during 1992, 1994 and 1995 crop years in India. It is observed that the supramolecular structual pa- rameters and true spiral angles, frequency of extinction bands and the morphological structure such as convolution angles remain practically invariant for a variety with the change in location and latitude of the place of growth of cotton varieties.
