摘要

Adsorption technique was used for the removal of phenolic compounds from a synthetic phenolic effluent solution using activated carbon prepared from coconut shells. The effect of time of contact, adsorbent dosage, initial concentration of phenol, size of the adsorbent and concentration of other pollutants were studied on the adsorption of phenolic effluents from aqueous solutions. The adsorption behaviour was studied by adsorption isotherms.
