摘要

Changes in physiological and biochemical characteristics under lead and chromium toxicity were investigated in Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, Taub. Decrease in dry matter and photosyn-thetic pigments were observed in cluster bean under metal treatment. Increase in the activity of enzymatic antioxidants like peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, catalase and polyphe-nol oxidase was observed in both Pb and Cr toxicity. The level of oxidative damage was marked under Cr than Pb, in cluster bean.
