IMPROVING CONCRETE QUALITY

Dr. Karthikeyan Obla has over two decades of experience in concrete technology with interest in quality control, specifications, mix optimization, durability, use of recycled materials and advances in new technology. A recipient of ACI Young Professional Achievement Award, he is an active member and fellow of the ACI, ASTM, TRB technical committees. He chaired the ASTM C09.49-Pervious concrete and is the current chair of ACI-232 -Fly-ash and Natural Puzzolans. A professional engineer based in US, is currently serving as Vice-President, National Ready Mix Concrete Association. He has over 75 articles published in various reputed journals including the Indian Concrete Journal to his credit.
