摘要

In this paper an attempt is made to investigate the behaviour of high performance self compacting hybrid fibre reinforced concrete (HPSCHFRC) using quartz fillers. The investigation is done to obtain the physical and chemical durability properties on HPSCHFRC by using the partial pozzolanic admixture i.e. quartz powder in addition to use of hybrid fibres (i.e, hooked end steel fibres and glass fibres) with complete replacement of river sand with quartz sand. Apart from achieving desired high strength it is also important for the structure to be more durable. Few of the methods which can help in determining the durability properties of concrete is the abrasion resistance, permeability and acid attack of concrete, where abrasion resistance and permeability comes under physical durability and acid attack comes under chemical durability. This paper presents, the abrasion resistance, permeability and resistance to chemical attack of high performance self compacting hybrid fibre reinforced concrete of M100 grade. HCL and H_2SO_4with 5% and 10 % concentration are used to determine resistance to acid attack. The results are obtained based on weight loss, ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strength after 28 days.
