摘要

Each year in September, the American Association for the Study of Mental Imagery awards two honoraria supporting dissertation research on mental images, fantasies, or daydreams: the J. L. Singer Honorarium, in recognition of Jerome L. Singer's role in co-founding AASMI, co-founding Imagination, Cognition and Personality, and co-editing ICP for 28 years; and the Klinger/Sheikh Honorarium, in recognition of Eric Klinger's and Anees Sheikh's roles in sustaining AASMI since its inception and serving on ICP's Board since Volume 1, Issue 1. Each honorarium provides up to $500 in support of dissertation research on mental imaging, fantasizing, or daydreaming. Recipients of the honoraria will be awarded an additional $250 upon publication of their dissertation research in this journal, or upon proof of publication in another refereed journal. Applicants for an AASMI honorarium should submit a dissertation prospectus, a dissertation research expense for which no more than $500 of support is needed, and an address of the office overseeing and distributing any honorarium monies awarded. Submissions should be e-mailed between July 1st and August 15th to Dr. Robert Kunzendorf at robertkunzendorf@uml.edu and to Dr. Robert Tracy at rtracy@condor.depaul.edu. These honoraria are funded by AASMI membership fees, past and present; for everyone presently belonging to AASMI, an individual subscription to Imagination, Cognition and Personality is also funded by the yearly membership fee. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the American Association for the Study of Mental Imagery should e-mail Dr. Nicholas Brink, AASMI's membership chair, at nbrink@verizon.net.
