AAMI to Release New Sterilization Standards for Healthcare Professionals in 2006

This year, AAMI will publish an unprecedented number of new and revised standards and guidance documents for sterilization practices in healthcare facilities, sterilization equipment, and industrial sterilization process control for medical equipment that must reach its point of use in a sterile state. Last month, in AAMI News, we highlighted the documents covering sterilization equipment and industrial sterilization. This month, we provide a rundown of the sterilization standards and guidance documents AAMI will be publishing in 2006 that will be of particular interest to healthcare professionals.
