Emerging Trends in ICT Providing Fast, Cost Effective Solution for Rural Connectivity

After Independence, the science and technology education and research in India have made significant contributions in all areas of socio-economic development of the country. From a merely agriculture-based society in the early 40's of the last century, India is today rated among the biggest industrialized nations having a sound base of industries along with a highly developed agricultural sector. Our responsibility has now increased manifold in the fast moving age. Today, Global scenario is changing very fast. New Competitive thinking is coming up. Very effective and reasonably low cost like Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are also coming up to increase social awareness for fast, cost effective and efficient management for rural problems. The aim is to utilize these technologies for self-reliance.
