摘要

According to the progress of CMOS device & process technology, analog design will be more difficult because of low operation voltage and large device mismatch. On the other hand, extremely higher performance will be required for analog circuits because WLAN, Ethernet and Mobile communication are rapidly progressed. Analog circuits must satisfy the requests of low voltage operation (< 1V), high precision and high speed, and new approach such as digital enhancement, digital background calibration will be more important for analog design in the future. Against such strong requests for analog design, we hope this special section will accelerate the research & development of analog circuits with new concepts. This special section contains two invited papers. One paper summarizes RF circuit design for SoC integration, mainly based on original papers written by authors.
