The IEICE Transactions on Communications announces that it will publish a special section entitled "Special Section on Antenna and Propagation Technologies Contributing to Diversification of Wireless Technologies" in May 2011.rnRecently, application fields of wireless technologies are rapidly expanding from traditional broadcasting or telecommunication services to various areas such as personal identification, electrical money, physical distribution management, intelligent transport systems (ITS), security and safety sensing, sensor network, remote sensing, medical applications, wireless power transmission, and so on. Antenna and propagation technologies are recognized as one of the key technologies to support such diversification of the wireless technologies.
