摘要

The uplink performance of a direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) packet cellular system is limited by multi-access interference (MAI) from the other users. On one hand, adaptive antenna array (AAA) is a promising technique to increase the link capacity by suppressing the MAI of mobile radio communications systems. On the other hand, transmit power control (TPC) is an effective method to improve the performance further. However, the combination of AAA and TPC has always been considered difficult. In this study, a TPC algorithm for AAA-rake receiver is proposed. In this algorithm, the TPC and the weight vector calculation for AAA-rake receiver are separated. The outage probability of the received signal-to-interference plus noise power ratio (SINR) is evaluated by computer simulation and compared with coherent rake receiver using maximal ratio combining (MRC) to show that the proposed algorithm can yield a better performance.
