摘要

Phased Array Antennas have attracted attention for use as hopping spot beam antennas that might be used as electronically controllable onboard satellite antennas. In fact, a Ka band APAA is installed on KIZUNA (WINDS) developed by JAXA and NICT. WINDS was developed to carry a new high-speed satellite communication system and demonstrate the advanced technology. This paper describes the WINDS APAA configuration, in addition to development and on-board evaluation results of the APAA flight model and communication experiment results.
