An optical displacement sensor with high sensitivity and wide dynamic range was utilized to develop sound transducers for medical use. Their sensor units are made of a fiber-optic displacement sensor and a reflective diaphragm. Vibrations of the diaphragm contacted with the skin are detected as the alternations of the reflected light. Calibrations were made both in the air and on the phantom of skin. The transducer with the diaphragm made of PET has the bandwidth of up to 1 [kHz] and the sensitivity of -90 [dB]. Those values are good enough as a medical sound transducer. As an application, the measurement of heart sound was done. It has shown that not only the heart sounds but also the ballistocardiogram and the respiratory movements of the thorax could be clearly detected. It is due to the transducer's frequency response from DC to audible range. Development of a microphone was also tried by extending the transducer's frequency bandwidth.%光学式変位センサの感度の良さとダイナミックレンジの広さに注目し,応用として生体用光学式音響センサを提案した。
