摘要

Performance of piezocomposites depends on such design variables as the properties of constituent materials and structural geometry of the composites. Values of the design variables are determined to increase a predefined figure of merit of the application envisaged. In this work, a new method to optimize the design variables of 1-3 piezocomposites has been developed to maximize the electromechanical coupling factor in a much more efficient and systematic way. The technique is so general that it can be applied to any other piezoelectric materials and connectivity as well.
