摘要

The 2013 IEICE General Conference was successfully held at Gifu University Yanado Campus in Gifu in the 500 km west of Tokyo, on March 19-22. The university is covered with green trees, located in the field with old historical architectures like Gifu Castle and places with Japan Alps on the back where many foreigners visit all around year, and further it is well known with traditional products of fiber industries and knives, recently by taking the initiatives of industrial development at technological compounds like "Softpia Japan" or "VR Techno Japan". The Conference participants exchanged opinions through paper presentations and panel discussions, enjoyed their free time by visiting industrial sites or historical places in Spring season.
