A new joint signal detection and channel parameter estimationnscheme is proposed for multiple subcarrier signaling with pilotnsymbol-assisted modulation (PSAM) schemes. The proposed scheme estimatesna pair of parameters associated with the generation process of thenfading frequency selectivity, which is common to all the subcarriers.nThis parameter estimation can effectively extract information regardingnthe fading frequency selectivity through the pilot symbols received notnonly by the subcarrier of interest, but by other ones as well. Thenfading complex envelope with each subcarrier is derived from thenestimates of the parameter pair. With the proposed scheme, performancesnare evaluated through simulations and are compared with the performancenof a subcarrier-by-subcarrier detection scheme
