Shape function optimization in the finite element analysis of waveguides

摘要

A finite element technique which can substantially reduce the computational effort required for the analysis of waveguide structures is presented. Demonstrative examples, whose finite element solutions are obtained by combining this technique with two well-known formulations-E/sub z/-H/sub z/ and H-field-are given.
