Magnetic properties of the new ternary cerium intermetallic compound CeRuSi/sub 2/

We present a study of the magnetic properties of the new ternary intermetallic compound CeRuSi/sub 2/ which demonstrates heavy-fermion-like behavior and reveals magnetic transition at T/sub C/=11 K. The temperature (5>t>250)k and magnetic field (H>50kOe) dependences of magnetization are reported. The data obtained at temperatures below T/sub C/ show that a Kondo effect and ferromagnetism might coexist in this compound.
