摘要

The calculation of quasi-static electric fields on and near perfectly conducting and lossy components is an important part of HV insulation design. Problems associated with the estimation of power losses in EHV insulating systems composed of lossy dielectrics often arise in industrial design practice. Moreover, thin conducting layers can significantly change the potential distribution along the HV insulation. An application of region-oriented charge simulation to the computation of quasi-static electric fields for systems with perfectly conducting and lossy components is presented. In contrast to other integral methods this formulation does not require any special treatment of thin conducting layers. This method shows good agreement between numerical and analytical calculations for both 2D and 3D formulations, and has been effectively applied to practical problems.
