摘要

A two-stage electroencephalogram (EEG) source tomography method is proposed. First, the layer recursive algorithm (LRA) is developed to calculate the cortical potentials from the scalp potentials by using the finite volume method, which can improve spatial resolution of EEG data and be called high-resolution EEG (HIEEG). As a result, the spatial resolution is improved over that obtained with the conventional EEG. Second, the source contracting method is used to localize the equivalent electrical sources inside the brain based on HIEEG data. The applications demonstrate the effectiveness of the method proposed. The LRA provides an alternative implementation to HIEEG.
