The traffic (load) asymmetry between uplink and downlink is anremarkable traffic characteristic in cellular mobile multimediancommunications. The code division multiple access system with timendivision duplex mode (CDMA/TDD system), adopting unbalanced slotnallocation between uplink and downlink, is a good solution for thisntraffic asymmetry. However, the level of traffic asymmetry may bensignificantly different from cell to cell. In this paper, we investigatena slot allocation strategy (DA strategy), by which each cell has its ownnslot allocation according to the level of traffic asymmetry. We computenthe system capacity with DA strategy and find out the optimal slotnallocation for the system. We also compare the maximum capacity to thatnwith another strategy (SA strategy), by which all cells have the samenslot allocation. As a result, this paper shows that the system with DAnstrategy outperforms the system with SA strategy in the aspect ofncapacity
