摘要

We study the use of turbo-coded modulation for wirelessncommunication systems with multiple transmit and receive antennas overnblock Rayleigh fading channels. We describe an effective way of applyingnturbo-coded modulation as an alternative to the current space-time codesnwith appropriate interleaving. We study the performance with thenstandard iterative turbo decoding algorithm, as well as the iterativendemodulation-decoding algorithm. In addition to the introduction of thenturbo-coded modulation scheme, we consider a variety of practical issuesnincluding the case of large number of antennas, the effects of estimatednchannel state information, and correlation among subchannels betweenndifferent transmit-receive antenna pairs. We present examples tonillustrate the performance of the turbo-coded modulation scheme andnobserve significant performance gains over the appropriately interleavednspace-time trellis codes
