Analysis of Accreditation Reports - North Maharashtra University with special reference to College Library

摘要

The Present study is an analysis of the peer team reports of institutions / colleges have undertaken the process of accreditation in the North Maharashtra University colleges with special reference to libraries. The accreditation process creates opportunities for the library profession, the importance of assessment and evaluation process leading to accreditation lies in the fact that this is for the first time that libraries are being exposed to mandatory external evaluation. There is a scope to improve the formats and questionnaires prescribed for gathering information about library resources and services. The peer team draws up commendations and recommendations for the institutions to implement in order to improve the quality of the various aspects of Its functioning. This helps the library staff to seek their cooperation and support for achieving excellence in library services.
