摘要

The idea of using directional excavation in underwater conditions was first proposed in 1938 by engineer. Major N. G. Arzimanov [1]. Analyzing the mechanism of action of concentrated excavating charges in underwater Conditions (Fig. 1), he reasoned in the following way. The explosion of charge buried in the ground ejects a certain Amount of soil along the natural line of least resistance, and if this line is arranged in another direction, then the soil Will be ejected also in this artificially altered direction.
