The U.S. Department of Energy's Hydro-power Regulatory and Permitting Information Desktop (RAPID) Toolkit development effort, which began in 2014, documents and presents information on federal and state permits and regulatory approvals required for the development of hydropower projects. In addition, the Hydropower RAPID Toolkit documents best practices to help navigate the regulatory process.
