Hydro 2006 focuses on maximizing hydropower

More than 600 participants from 70 countries attended the Hydro 2006 conference September 25-27 at Porto Carras in northern Greece. The conference was organized around the theme "maximizing the benefits of hydropower." Conference sessions addressed core hydro industry issues, such as developing the considerable amount of unrealized hydro-power potential in Asia and Africa, safeguarding the environment, and managing social issues.
