摘要

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts was able to show that it has standing to challenge the final rulescreating religious and moral exemptions to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, promulgated by thedepartments of HHS, Labor, and the Treasury. The First Circuit found that the Commonwealth was able to showan imminent financial injury based on the costs it would incur in covering contraceptive care for women wholost coverage as a result of the rules. The court vacated a district court ruling that dismissed the case for lack ofstanding and remanded it back for further proceedings.
