A major supplier to the container industry, SSAB Tunnplat AB, has launched two new weather resistant extra high strength steels, Domex 550 W and Docol 700 W, which have been designed specifically for the container industry. Both steels offer much improved performance when compared to traditional Corten steels which are widely used in container manufacturing. SSAB Tunnplat AB is the largest Scandinavian steel sheet manufacturer and a leader in Europe in the development of high strength, extra and ultra high strength steels. A member of the SSAB Swedish Steel Group, has a turnover of SEK 9 billion and has around 4,400 employees in Sweden. The company's annual production capacity is around 2.5 million tonnes of steel sheet.
