House Panel Marks Up Section 515 Preservation Bill; House Approves Rural Housing Funding Measure

The House housing subcommittee marked up a Section 515 preservation and revitalization bill (H.R. 5039) May 23, revising the measure to strengthen tenant protections when mortgages are prepaid. Most of the changes adopted by the panel were included in a manager's amendment offered by subcommittee chairman Robert W. Ney (R-Ohio).
