OFHEO Issues Revised Policy For GSE Mortgage Fraud Programs

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) has issued revised policy guidance on the examination of mortgage fraud programs of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The guidance spells out the standards for overseeing and evaluating policies and programs the two government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) have developed to minimize fraud. It supersedes policy guidance issued by OFHEO in July 2005.
