HUD has announced the basic FHA multifamily mortgage limits for calendar 2009, as adjusted for inflation under Section 206A of the National Housing Act.rnThe new limits, which were published in the April 6 Federal Register, are effective as of January 1.rnThe mortgage limits are adjusted annually for the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), as applied by the Federal Reserve for adjustments under the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA). For 2009, the adjustment is 3.94 percent.
