Providing housing with supportive services for the disabled or for households at risk of homelessness has evolved into a major use of Section 8 project-based vouchers (PBVs), according to PHA officials who spoke at the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) annual conference in Washington.rnThe Newark, N.J., Housing Authority (NHA) has awarded nearly 200 PBVs since 2007, resulting in the development of 591 additional rental units, said Tory Gunsolly, NHA chief administrative officer.
