摘要

The redevelopment of a fow-income, predominantly minority neighborhood did not violate the Fair Housing Act or other civil rights laws, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey ruled. (Mount Holly Citizens in Action, Inc. v. Township of Mount Holly, Civil Action No. 08-2584 (NLH)(JS), 2011 WL 9405 (D.N.J.), January 3, 2011) The plaintiffs asserted that the redevelopment of the Mount Holly Gardens neighborhood in the township of Mount Holly will have a disparate impact on minorities living in the Gardens because it will drive out the minority population.
