HUD Identifies FHA Multifamily High-Cost Areas, Percentages for 2011

HUD has identified the FHA multifamily base city high-cost percentages and high-cost areas for calendar 2011, implementing revisions under the fiscal 2008 appropria- tions act, which raised the maximum areawide increase from 140 to 170 percent and the maximum increase for specific projects in high-cost areas from 170 to 215 percent. A high-cost percentage of 170 percent means the FHA mortgage limit is 270 percent of the basic limit.
