TENANT PROTECTIONS

On December 8, 2011, Congressman Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) introduced FLR. 3619, which would make the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act (PTFA) permanent.The Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act gives tenants the right to a 90-day notice after foreclosure and allows tenants to stay until the end of long-term leases. Currently, the PTFA is set to sunset at the end of 2014.
