TRUMP 2018 BUDGET REQUEST TO SLASH PROGRAMS-REACTION

On May 23, 2017, the Trump Administration released its 2018 budget request, which called for a 15 percent reduction in HUD funding and drastic cuts or elimination of several housing and development related programs, including the Community Development Block Grant Program, the Community Development Financial Institutes fund, the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Choice Neighborhoods, and the Self-Help Homeownership Opportunity Program.
