Timeshare's Global Potential

For several years, the timeshare industry has been one of the fastest growing segments of the travel industry. However, it is my opinion that we have only scratched the surface. The industry offers great products, terrific demographics and has global players coming into the market. Today, the timeshare industry includes some of the largest and most respectable names in the hospitality industry such as Starwood, Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt. The growing number of mainstream hospitality companies, coupled with time-share developers that have taken their companies public, has lead to a period of unprecedented growth and consolidation. These growth-oriented public companies have pushed the industry above the US$6 billion sales mark in 1999.
