The vacation ownership/timeshare business, as every lodging expert must know, is the fastest-growing segment of the hospitality industry, and the contributing factors are almost innu- merable: the timeshare industry is harvesting the fruits of its previous public image makeover, most agree, just as the baby boomer generation moves into its prime spending years and Generation X, wealthier than any other before it, starts to peel off layers of disposable income in search of vacations.
