EDITORIAL

摘要

This issue comprises papers with varying focus, clientele and scope. A recurrent theme across the various papers appears to be the plight of some disadvantaged population or community in society, for instance, people suffering from mental illness, children (in China), women casual laborers and ethnic minority. This illustrates the persistent strive by the social work profession for the welfare of the deprived.
