The newly revised Green Guides from the Federal Trade Commission: 1. Discourage marketers from using broad, unqualified and difficult to substantiate "environmentally friendly" or "eco-friendly" claims without listing specific attributes to back them up. 2. Contain guidance for disclosing connections to certification or seals that could affect the credibility of claims.
