Soft bath manufacturers and importers offered plenty of newness at the New York Home Fashions Market last month. 1888 Mills has officially moved into its new domestic manufacturing facility for towels in Griffin, Ga. With production well underway and new programs already shipping, thus the company touted its "Made in the USA" message with a bevy of new products. Headlining the season is the launch of the Modal-Cotton Blend collection, which is entirely domestically produced. "It is actually an intimate blend of modal and cotton," explained Lexi Schladenhauffen, svp, marketing and design. "And we've trademarked the Modal body because we use a special spinning process for the yarn in the loop of the towel."
